Audemars Piguet unveils a new vision of time with the Calibre 7139 openworked perpetual calendar
By SENATUS Magazine | 9 February 2026

Le Brassus has officially entered a new era of transparency with the debut of the Audemars Piguet Calibre 7139. This selfwinding perpetual calendar movement is a masterclass in the delicate art of openworking, stripping away all but the essentials to allow light to dance through its mechanical heart. Designed for the modern connoisseur, the movement features an intuitive all in one crown correction system that eliminates the need for tools, ensuring that keeping in sync with the universe is as effortless as it is elegant.

The collection introduces two distinct personalities for this new technical milestone. For those who prefer a touch of classic contrast, the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet combines the warmth of 18 carat white gold with the sleek, high tech allure of black ceramic. Its sapphire dial reveals the intricate grey palette of the movement, while a black aventurine backdrop at 6 o'clock evokes a shimmering starlit sky for the astronomical moon phase.

In a bold move for the iconic Royal Oak, the Manufacture has paired lightweight titanium with precious Bulk Metallic Glass. This proprietary alloy, which possesses an amorphous structure similar to glass, offers a unique mirror polish that complements the satin finished titanium case. Pink gold accents on the hour markers and hands provide a luminous glow against the openworked bridges, highlighting the seamless blend of ancestral expertise and futuristic materials.

Beyond its striking aesthetics, the Calibre 7139 is a testament to the human hands that shape Haute Horlogerie. Each movement requires over 30 hours of painstaking hand finishing for the bridges alone, while the non magnetic balance spring is fitted by specialized artisans known as the queens of watchmaking. With its ultra thin 4.1 mm profile and a calendar that requires no manual correction until the year 2100, this timepiece is a perpetual reminder that true style is timeless.
