BBC's Planet Earth II Shows Baby Marine Iguanas Escaping Clutches of Racer Snakes

8 November 2016

BBC's newest instalment of its nature documentary, Planet Earth II takes a look at the perilous welcome to the world for baby marine iguanas.

Upon hatching within the sand in June, they must join the adults at the edge of the sea, but not before the preying racer snakes lie in ambush.

The wildlife documentary series currently aired on BBC iPlayer is narrated by David Attenborough, and began last evening with a look at the remote islands which offer sanctuary to some of the planet's rarest creatures.
