The spirit of modern adventure finds its ultimate companion in the latest addition to the Chopard L.U.C collection. Unveiled to mark the 30th anniversary of Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier, this new L.U.C Time Traveler One offers a rugged yet refined interpretation of the worldtimer first introduced by the Maison in 2016. Limited to just 250 pieces, the timepiece is crafted in state-of-the-art ceramised titanium, a material that marries the feather-light resilience of Grade 5 titanium with the formidable scratch resistance of ceramic.

The khaki-coloured dial evokes a military-inspired heritage, offering a distinctive palette that sets it apart from traditional horological tones. Its intuitive world time function allows globetrotters to read the prevailing hour in any of 24 cities simultaneously through concentrically arranged discs. A vertical satin-brushed finish at the centre is accented by a bold, lacquered yellow seconds hand, while luminescent details and beige transfers ensure the dial remains legible whether one is navigating a midnight flight or a sunrise trek.

Functionality is mastered through a dual-crown architecture, where a crown at 2 o’clock adjusts local time and a second at 4 o’clock aligns the city disc. This technical ease is powered by the L.U.C 01.05-L movement, an in-house calibre boasting a 60-hour power reserve. Like all L.U.C timepieces featuring a seconds indication, this movement is certified as a chronometer by the COSC, ensuring that its precision matches its robust exterior.

“Having introduced worldtimers for both the 20th and 25th anniversaries of Chopard Manufacture Fleurier, it feels fitting to present this new interpretation as we mark thirty years. The L.U.C Time Traveler One reflects our belief that enduring watchmaking demands a spirit of adventure,” says Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. The ensemble is completed by a khaki-green rubber strap with a black lining, secured by a ceramised titanium pin buckle engraved with the L.U.C logo.

Beyond the aesthetics, the case itself is a feat of engineering, produced through an electro-plasma oxidation process at extremely high temperatures to achieve a hardness of 1000 Vickers. The resulting deep matte anthracite tone provides a contemporary finish that is resistant to wear, impact, and corrosion.
