Rafa Nadal Wins 13th French Open Title, Equalling Federer's 20 Grand Slam Wins
By SENATUS Editor | 12 October 2020

World number 2 Rafa Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 in the French Open final to win his 13th title at Roland Garros, matching Roger Federer as the player with the most men's Grand Slam Wins of 20.

The Spaniard had not dropped a single set in the tournament, and routed the World Number 1 from Serbia who has had a near perfect 2020 having recorded only a loss through a default at the US Open when his ball struck a line umpire. In addition, Djokovic had won five Grand Slam finals in a row since being beaten by Stan Wawrinka at the 2016 Australian Open.

Nadal, who had skipped the defence of his US Open title and focused instead on the French Open, bagged 100 wins at Roland Garros as he secured his victory.
