Encased in a single block of industry-leading Grade 5 titanium, the new L.U.C Strike One Titanium marks a significant milestone in the Maison’s journey with chiming watches. Despite the intricate mechanical world within, the timepiece maintains a remarkably slim profile of just 9.86 mm, finished with vertically satin-brushed casebands that contrast beautifully against a polished bezel.

At the heart of its crystalline sound is Chopard’s patented monobloc sapphire gong system, an innovation that transforms the watch crystal itself into a resonator. This unique construction ensures that the use of a titanium case does not dampen the acoustic quality, allowing for a chime-in-passing that emits a single, pure note every time the minute hand reaches twelve. To preserve the streamlined purity of the design, a discreet pusher integrated into the crown allows the wearer to easily toggle between activating or silencing the chime.

The dial, crafted from 18-carat ethical gold, features a salmontoned sheen achieved through a galvanic treatment. It is adorned with a hand-guilloché honeycomb motif that honors the industrious spirit of founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard. Rhodium-plated Dauphine hands and chevron markers glide over this central medallion, while a small aperture at 12 o’clock reveals the hammer and a status indicator that turns white when the striking mechanism is active.

Visible through the sapphire case-back is the L.U.C 96.32-L calibre, a chronometer-certified movement that bears the prestigious Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark. This self-winding movement is equipped with Chopard Twin technology, utilizing two stacked barrels to provide a 65-hour power reserve even when the chime is in use. Every component reflects a deep commitment to vertical integration and artisanal finishing, from the Côtes de Genève bridges to the microrotor in 22-carat ethical gold.
