For 20 years, Hublot has been at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of chromatics, transparency, and science with its iconic Big Bang collection. When it comes to the art of sapphire, Hublot proudly claims the title of "Master of Sapphire." Since debuting the first Big Bang in sapphire in 2016, followed by the introduction of colored sapphire cases in 2017, Hublot has dedicated itself to unlocking the full potential of this crystalline material. Creating new colors of transparent sapphire is no simple feat; it requires a precise formula and meticulous adjustments to ensure both aesthetic beauty and functional performance.
To celebrate two decades of innovation, Hublot presents the Big Bang 20th Anniversary "Master of Sapphire" set, a limited edition of just five pieces. Each watch in this exclusive set is cased in a different sapphire or SAXEM material—Transparent Sapphire, Water Blue Sapphire, Deep Blue Sapphire, Purple Sapphire, and Neon Yellow SAXEM—each one reflecting the brand’s pioneering work with sapphire. The transparent strap and color-matched hands and markers further enhance the striking visual appeal of these timepieces.
Powering these masterpieces is the MECA-10 movement, a manual-winding engine that combines architectural design with mechanical motion, offering an impressive 10-day power reserve. The set is presented in a custom-designed display case with backlit vertical lights, ensuring that these extraordinary timepieces shine in all their brilliance. The engraved plaque marks the exclusivity of this collector's dream, “Master of Sapphire XX/05.”
