Oris presents the new ProPilot Altimeter - measuring 6,000 metres in atltitude
By SENATUS Editor | 30 March 2023

In 2014, the original ProPilot model became the first automatic mechanical watch with a built-in mechanical altimeter.

Today, Oris presents a replacement model is still the only watch of its kind. Only this one’s gone higher. The watch has an upgraded altimeter module so it will now read off altitude to either 19,700 feet or 6,000 metres (both have a conversion chart on the case back).

Oris has also kitted the watch out with a case made of the innovative carbon-fibre composite first seen in the Coulson Limited Edition, which means the whole watch now weighs 70 grams less than the model it replaces. It has also upgraded the movement to the Calibre 793 automatic, giving it a 56-hour power reserve.
