Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne who is set to star in J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts movie, was joined by actress Camilla Belle at the opening of the Omega House at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Saturday.
The 34-year-old British actor, who is an international ambassador for the brand, was joined at the event by his wife Hannah.
"I’ve never been to Brazil before. But this country has such a reputation for energy, for vibrancy, for culture, dance and music. But all of my expectations have been superseded. My wife and I feel very lucky to be here," Eddie said at the event.
As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games for the 27th time since 1932, Omega has setup in the exclusive Omega House located at Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim on Ipanema Beach, as an invite-only destination offering a unique way to experience the Games.
The interior features specially curated rooms that will allow visitors to discover the art of timekeeping, the evolution of the brand as well its long affiliation with the Olympics. In addition, a select few will be offered the opportunity to take up residence within the House for the duration of the Games.
