The Thread 1 wristwatch from Devon Works is a finalist in the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie Awards 2010 in the Design and Concept Watch category.
Comprised of four 2-micron thin belts each operated by an individual microstep electric motor. An optical recognition system tracks the the status of each belt at all times to ensure extreme precision.
This watch is made even more impressive by its wireless battery recharging.
