Louis Vuitton is set to release next month a capsule collection devoted to the workwear which was central in the "Paris to VA" (Viriginia) Fall-Winter 2024 Men’s Show by Pharrell Williams.
The in-store launch on 8 August spans ready-to-wear, the limited-edition Keepall 50 Toolbox bag, and the Maison’s anticipated boot collaboration with Timberland. A key element in the January 2024 runway presentation, the capsule explores the American Western origins of workwear through the savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton and captures the dandy-esque fusion of elegance, utility, and comfort intrinsic to the collection.
Rich in craftsmanship, it is a reflection of the discerning LVERS philosophy that pervades the practice of Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams and the Louis Vuitton Studio Prêt-à-Porter Homme.
The ready-to-wear pieces see the combination of the authentic codes of workwear with the intricate craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton. With emphasised versatility, sophisticated workwear silhouettes combine durability and refinement in suits in overdyed jacquards rendered in elegant tones of browns, black and beiges.
The characteristic yokes and leather appliqué motifs of the Western wardrobes grace the pockets of trucker jackets and coats constructed in sculpturally voluminous cuts true to the functional lines of the American workwear domain. Turquoise-like buttons embellish garments alongside details of pearls, embroideries and studs in delicate expressions of the savoir faire of the Maison.
