Chopard has launched the new L.U.C Time Traveler One – Singapore Edition, a limited edition derived from its first ever worldtime watch in its award-winning L.U.C collection.
For customers, a worldtime watch by brands (not just Chopard, but many others) has traditionally featured the city of Beijing which shares the same timezone as Singapore, understandably so as the Chinese capital is much obviously much larger.

For Singaporeans however, this limited edition will come as a welcome.
Now, at any given moment, a single glance at this horological complication indicates not only the time anywhere in the world, but a quick visual indication as to what time it is in Singapore, with the lettering highlighted in red.
With a concentric-layered design on the dial, a discreet central hand indicates the date, while a surrounding railway track circle serves to read off the hours and minutes of the local time zone – swept over by Dauphine-type hands iconic of the watches in the L.U.C collection.
This is adjusted via a crown positioned at 2 o'clock which bears a modern stylised globe motif, whereas its 2 o'clock counterpart bears the L.U.C logo conveying an equally universal appeal.
Outwards, a large 24-hour graduated ring operates in coordination with the disc bearing the reference cities symbolising the 24 main time zones. Once they are synchronised with the local time zone via the 4 o'clock crown, no more adjustment is required.
Two versions of the L.U.C Time Traveler One – Singapore edition measuring 42 mm in diameter are available, with 15 pieces in stainless steel and 8 pieces in 18 carat rose gold (8 pieces).
Inside, the calibre 01.05-L was entirely developed, produced and finished in the Chopard Manufacture workshops in Fleurier. Self-winding (automatic), it has a 60-hour power reserve.
Like all L.U.C watches equipped with a function indicating the seconds, the L.U.C Time Traveler One is chronometer-certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute which is the institute responsible for certifying the accuracy and precision of wristwatches in Switzerland.
