CANNES 13 May 2009 - 11 years after being commissioned by the President of the Cannes Film Festival with redesigning the famous Palme award, Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele has made Chopard a name uniquely linked to the world’s most glittering and glamorous movie event.
For the first time, Chopard welcomes its guests at the renowned Martinez Hôtel. On the top floor, in a suite surrounded by an immense terrace facing the sea, Chopard is creating an elegant and exclusive Lounge, during the entire Cannes Film Festival. In addition to Nespresso Coffee guests have the pleasure of sipping on bubbly Boizel champagne, delectable Chateaux de Cayx wines and tantalize their taste-buds with cocktails compliments of Grey Goose vodka. Beauty Salons are on hand where-by guests get to themselves pampered to an exquisite make-over with make-up by By Terry and hair styling by Dessange.
Chopard and Coty will also take this opportunity to launch Cascade, the Geneva firm’s new fragrance. For several years, the firm has been dreaming up heady fragrances to produce in cooperation with Coty. Refined, gentle, or strong, they go by the names Wish, Infiniment Chopard and Happy Spirit.
The glamorous ambiance of the Cannes Film Festival is the perfect setting in which to present Chopard’s brand new fragrance, Cascade. After the Festival Opening Ceremony, the festivities will continue at the Eden Roc with the theme “Belle de Nuit”, named for the flower which lends it scent to the main note of Cascade.
