Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2012 - Singapore Finalists
By SENATUS News | 12 January 2012

A total of 20 emerging and established Singaporean artists will be exhibiting their best works of art at Marina Bay Sands this month, as part of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize Singapore (SAAP) 2012. This event will benefit both these local artists and students in Singapore through the ArtOutreach program which promotes art literacy and art appreciation among primary and secondary school students.

Aged between 22-59 and boasting diverse backgrounds, these 20 Singaporean finalists were chosen from an initial pool of 400 artists, winning over a jury with their works depicting topics such as Singapore’s national identity, land-reclamation in Changi to hot-button issues like foreigners in the midst of an ever-changing island.
