Frederique Constant revives the spirit of the eighties with the dazzling Classics Manchette
By SENATUS Magazine | 28 November 2025

Watchmaking often risks falling into a cycle of repetition but Frederique Constant knows exactly how to inject a fresh dose of style into the conversation. The Geneva manufactory is bringing back the Manchette which has been absent from the collection for over twenty years.

This return marks a sexy and glam-rock take on the definitive cuff watch. The design features a graceful bracelet embossed with a square Clou de Paris pattern that is elegantly echoed on the square dial.

The piece is available in four distinct versions to suit every sartorial whim. You can choose from a dazzling jewel-set piece or opt for one of the two mineral alternatives in malachite and onyx. For those seeking a more industrial edge there is also a fourth version in matte steel. This is an iconic watch from an era that allowed itself to be daring and it embodies a style that remains uninhibited and free. We are not talking about heavy complications or exclusivity here but rather about lightness and impertinence.

It prioritizes the accessory over the essential and chooses rebellion over tradition. It captures a specific zeitgeist and vision of fashion that the brand first revived with a flourish in the early 2000s.

Now returning under the name Classics Manchette, this object is above all a bracelet that happens to tell the time. It feels supple and loose on the wrist as it is comprised of seven fluid links. It is designed to stay firmly fastened to withstand the tumult of the dancefloor thanks to an integrated and invisible folding clasp.
