Piaget Unveils The Altiplano Skeleton High Jewellery Métiers D’art

“A watch is first and foremost a piece of jewellery.” With this singular statement, Yves G. Piaget captured the paradox and poetry of a Maison born in 1874 in La Côte-aux-Fées. Renowned for its mastery of ultra-thin movements, Piaget has always transcended horology to create wearable works of art—where mechanics meet colour, light, and texture.

From the 1960s onwards, the Maison embraced a bold freedom of expression, marrying the precision of its 9P calibre with ornamental stone dials in daring hues. Today, that spirit of artistry takes dazzling form in the Altiplano Skeleton High Jewellery Métiers d’Art, a limited edition of just eight pieces.

Here, Piaget’s iconic skeleton movement—adorned with diamonds and sapphires—meets the luminous mastery of Grand Feu cloisonné enamel, crafted in collaboration with the celebrated enamel artist Anita Porchet. Each dial becomes a miniature canvas, where fire, colour, and gem-setting converge to redefine elegance.

More than a timepiece, the Altiplano Métiers d’Art is a statement of Piaget’s creative audacity: a jewel for the wrist, an ode to lightness, and a testament to the Maison’s eternal dialogue between watchmaking and artistry.
