Greubel Forsey Grand Sonnerie - the most complex Greubel Forsey creation to date
By SENATUS Editor | 5 May 2023

The Grande Sonnerie represents the quintessence of Greubel Forsey’s expertise and its ideal in terms of watchmaking excellence. This timepiece has powerful acoustics. It is water-resistant to 3 ATM. Its ergonomics ensure maximum comfort to the wearer as well as an exceptional striking power reserve.

Finally, Greubel Forsey succeeded in housing the 935 parts of this timepiece and its exterior in a space measuring only 43.5 mm in diameter and 16.13 mm in height.

This mechanical masterpiece has three modes to choose from: Grande Sonnerie (which strikes the hours and the quarters in passing), Petite Sonnerie (which strikes the full hours in passing) and Silence (which does not strike in passing). The pure, crystalline chime of the Grande Sonnerie is enhanced by an acoustic resonance cage made from titanium.

Moreover, the 25° inclined fast-rotating Tourbillon 24 Secondes is surrounded by one-piece cathedral gongs within the acoustic resonance cage, amplifying the notes striking hours, quarters (and minutes on demand).
