CHANEL for the Digital Age
By SENATUS News | 5 October 2016

The Grand Palais in Paris was transformed into a 'Data Center' with servers, for CHANEL's Spring/Summer 2017 presentation, with 'Intimate Technology’ the theme of the collection.

The collection was replete with modern details such as touch fasteners instead of buttons, threads resembling electronic cables and rubber and vinyl strips woven into tweed cotton. The color palette was an explosion of blue, red, yellow, pink, and purple, propped up by pastels and electric shades. Caps worn sideways and big pendant necklaces that resembled ID badges hinted at a jaunty 1990s vibe.
