The Artling Founder Talenia Phua Gajardo and Chairman of the National Design Council Robert Tomlin hosted a reception with guest-of-honour and Lead Advisory Judge for the competition, David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates (London) in attendance. Guests were treated to a pop-up display of the winning entries of Asia’s first of its kind architectural design competition for an iconic and modular pop-up pavilion with OUE as the Official Title Sponsor.
The competition invited Singapore-incorporated architectural practices founded in or after 2004 to design an 8,000 sq ft, fully covered and weather-resilient iconic pavilion space/structure that will house a contemporary South East Asian and pan-Asian art exhibition.
