Patek Philippe: The Authorized Biography - reissued

23 December 2022

When looking through Patek Philippe: The Authorized Biography, the striking design of the chapter openers stands out.

Each double-page spread highlights an interesting timepiece from the era of the chapter.

The idea was inspired by Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe, who wanted to showcase dial design throughout the history of the company in this unique publication. The chapter numbers take their form from an element of the facing dial, such as a baton numeral, the date aperture, a sub-dial, and so on.

In effect, what punctuates the book is a visual history of style. For anyone with an eye for design – watches or otherwise
