This April, Swatch honors the arrival of the Pink Moon with a celestial twist — launching the limited-edition Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Pink Moonphase.
Available exclusively from April 1 at select Swatch locations, this timepiece celebrates the rare, fleeting appearance of the Pink Moon, this year coinciding with a micromoon. As the moon reaches its farthest point in its orbit, it will appear slightly smaller and dimmer than usual — an intriguing contrast to last year’s Super Blue Moon, which dazzled as it neared its closest point to Earth.
Yet, Mission to the Pink Moonphase will shine brighter than ever.
With a chronograph function and moon phase indicator at the 2 o’clock subdial, the watch features a striking black and silver-pink opaline dial. The moon phase is marked by two pink moons that glow in the dark, thanks to their Super-LumiNova® coating. When exposed to UV light, a hidden detail emerges — further enhancing the watch’s magical aura.
The black Bioceramic bezel boasts a pulsometer scale, a unique feature typically found in sports chronographs that helps users measure their heart rate. Simply start the chronograph when you feel your pulse, stop after 30 beats, and use the pulsometer scale to calculate beats per minute.
A playful new touch on the 2 o'clock push button — a small, embossed heart — pays homage to the pulsometer function, completing this dreamy, detailed tribute to the cosmos. The Mission to the Pink Moonphase is truly a timepiece for the heart and the heavens.
