In a partnership that kicked off in 2012 with two limited edition timepieces, the two great Italian brands of Bulgari and Maserati have come together once again to reveal two exclusive wristwatches – the Octo Retro Maserati GranSport and GranLusso – at the Frankfurt Motor Show currently taking place.
These NEW Octo Maserati by Bulgari watches feature retrograde minutes and jumping hours displays with a spectacular dial effect intended to recall the rev counter of a real Maserati.
A topstitched leather strap reminiscent of Maserati upholstery, tops it all off.
The structured case, typical of Bulgari's Octo collection, has a diameter of 41 mm and houses the mechanical Retro BVL 262 calibre, entirely developed and produced in-house.
Inside, the self-winding movement – decorated with Côtes de Genève, chamfering and bevelling techniques – has a 42-hour power reserve and oscillates at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The GranSport version comes in steel with a black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface treatment. The dial is black, while the indications – numerals, hour-markers, counters – and the hands are silver-toned and blue.
The GranLusso version comes in pink gold, again with a black dial whilst the hands and indications are in pink gold.
Completed by perforated straps, blue or brown stitched, the new Bulgari Octo Retro Maserati has price of Euro 12,500 in black DLC-treated steel (GranSport) or Euro 29,900 in pink gold (GranLusso).
They will be available only in Bulgari boutiques.
