Spring was the dominant factor in Paris-based fashion house Dior’s latest couture collection showcased at the recently concluded Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. With a front row filled with high-profile personalities like the former French First Lady Bernadette Chirac and Princess of Monaco Charlene Wittstock, the Parisian label presented a spectacular show under the aesthetic guidance of its creative director Raf Simons.
The 47-piece spring-summer 2013 collection featured a range of multi-layered flower and butterfly appliqués stitched on myriad outfits. The 44-year-old Belgian designer’s creations for the brand included tulle-and-silk bustier evening dresses, asymmetrical cocktail gowns and cropped silk tops teamed with embroidered corsets.
