Charlie Lim Performs at Music Matters Live 2012 @ Clarke Quay
By SENATUS News | 7 July 2012

A perfectionist both in the studio and on stage, Charlie’s name is well known amongst Melbourne’s musical elite. He has played in bands that have graced hundreds of stages, with events such as the Mosaic Music Festival at Singapore’s Esplanade Theatres, supporting premier Australian artists such as The Whitlams and Kimbra headlining charity concerts at Melbourne’s Federation Square, selling out shows at the Pilbeam Theater in Central Queensland, and performing at Hamer Hall after topping the State for music performance in high school.

When playing live, Charlie is at his finest as the captain of his own ship. Slinging his guitar with earnest, he gently steers his band and audience across a sea of human experience. The journey, guided by Charlie’s velvet croon, explores the gamut from darkness to light, sadness to joy, and like a slow inhale and exhale, is ultimately uplifting. Within the crowd, there is toe tapping, wide-eyed wonder, and an inexplicable desire to share your delight with the listener beside you.
