ZEITWERK HONEYGOLD “Lumen” by A. Lange & Söhne
By SENATUS Magazine | 4 September 2023

The ZEITWERK HONEYGOLD “Lumen” with a power reserve of 72 hours, is powered by the calibre L043.9, which is decorated and assembled by hand. It comes in a limited edition of 200 watches.

It boasts three exceptional features: It has the ZEITWERK-style jumping numerals display consisting of three discs. The large, highly legible numerals read from left to right, as usual in a digital watch. Also, the ZEITWERK HONEYGOLD “Lumen” has luminous numerals that can easily be recognised in darkness. The third special facet of this watch, limited to 200 pieces, is the 41.9-millimetre case made of warm shimmering HONEYGOLD, an alloy composed exclusively for A. Lange & Söhne.

The “Lumen” designation in the timepiece refers to the specially developed, semi-transparent dial that makes the luminous jumping numerals display fully visible.

The light-permeable coating of the dial allows the luminous numerals that are not exposed in the aperture to absorb enough UV light to make them glow in the dark. Therefore, the digital display remains visible even after each switching sequence.
