Grand Seiko SBGE277 - inspired by the Hotaka mountain range
By SENATUS Editor | 20 June 2023

Grand Seiko’s SBGE277 has a watch dial that reflects the colour and texture that typify the geology of the Hotaka mountain range that surrounds the Shinshu Watch Studio.

Fitting to the brand’s phrase “Nature in Time”, this Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT watch features a rock-patterned dial that is inspired by the sharp ridges and sheer cliffs of the peaks and slopes surrounding the Hotaka mountain range, caused by the mountain’s volcanic activity.

The watch also perfectly reflects the natural and continuous flow of time with the help of Grand Seiko’s unique Spring Drive caliber. The seconds hand glides silently and smoothly with no ‘tick’ across the dial.
