Fendi supports the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" exhibition at the Met with archival pieces
By SENATUS Editor | 8 May 2023

Fendi is supporting the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty", the Costume Institute’s Spring 2023 exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, dedicated to the work of Fendi’s late Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear.

Lagerfeld was hired by the Fendi sisters in 1965. In the five decades that followed, the late designer transformed the family’s Maison into a playground of creativity, his extraordinary and boundless imagination powering its metamorphosis and fueling the longest relationship between a fashion house and a designer.

The exhibition celebrates Lagerfeld’s unique working method and includes several pieces from the Fendi archive in Rome, on display 5 May through 16 July 2023.

During this period, a selection of pieces and sketches from Fendi's late Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear has been pulled from the Fendi archive in Rome and put on display in the windows of the Fendi 57th Street Boutique in New York City.
