Seen @ Launch of 'Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld' Book at 2015 Cannes Film Festival

Karl Lagerfeld celebrates 50 years at Fendi with a new book, titled "Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld", launched during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. It includes scrapbook with over 200 Lagerfeld sketches of directional Fendi looks, a Q&A session and a USB stick containing MP4 files of Lagerfeld sketching his memories live as he speaks, WWD reported.

"Before Karl joined Fendi, it was a very traditional house doing fur," Fendi CEO Pietro Beccari explained.

"But he changed it into something very modern, peeling fur, mixing it with other fabrics. He really treated it badly. He took sable, the most precious of all materials, and reduced it to pieces. Nobody had ever dared doing that before."

"Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld" published by Steidl is set to hit the international shelves at Fendi boutiques and high-end bookstores from July.
