Cartier Rotonde Astrotourbillon Skeleton
By SENATUS Watches & Jewelry | 10 December 2014

First introduced in 2010, the Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon drew attention for its tourbillon making a complete circle of the dial. For SIHH 2015, Cartier is unveiling a new version of this high-end model: the Rotonde Astrotourbillon Skeleton.

Entirely skeletonised, the main plate of the 9461 MC movement rests on the XII and VI Roman numerals. Almost suspended in space, the tourbillon makes a complete circle of the dial in a minute whilst the blue hands indicate hours and minutes. The hand-wound movement is composed of 233 parts, beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.

A limited series of 100 numbered pieces, the Rotonde de Cartie Astrotourbillon Skeleton is matched to a black alligator-skin strap with a double adjustable folding buckle.
