By SENATUS Editor | 12 June 2014

Held in New York City on 10 June at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, in honour of HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli and HBO's Michael Lombardo (who was honoured by Sarah Jessica Parker, who got her big break starring in the company's Sex and the City series). The night also included a runway show featuring a celebration of men’s style, as well as an award reception, auction and a special performance by British rock band New Order.

The annual auction, led by Paddle 8 co-founder Alexander Gilkes, showcased a rare amount of luxury goods as well as some exotic vacation get-aways, including a 7-day polar expedition guided by famous adventurer and fellow SENATUS member @johanernstnilson.

The Inspiration Series was launched in 2010 to celebrate men’s fashion and style while raising funds for amfAR’s lifesaving AIDS research programs. Each year features a different design “Inspiration” theme. Since its inception, Inspiration galas have been held in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Miami. To date, the Inspiration Series has raised more than $13 million to benefit amfAR.
