Marina Bay Sands is set to kick off Sands Live, a live concert series that will feature some of the world’s biggest acts performing in the intimate, state-of-the-art entertainment venues found in Marina Bay Sands. The acts to be featured in Sands Live typically perform in stadiums and arenas. Sands Live events will provide audiences with unique experiences and an opportunity to connect with the world’s best entertainers in a manner that is not possible in larger venues.
The series of performances will kick off with The Rolling Stones—14 On Fire Tour on 15 March. To be held at the Sands Grand Ballroom, The Rolling Stones concert will feature just over 5,500 seats and a performance stage that extends into the audience. This setting provides Rolling Stones fans the chance to experience the rock and roll legends in a club-like setting and is the finale of the Asian leg of the tour, which has included performances at some of Asia’s largest stadiums and arenas.
A free simulcast of The Rolling Stones concert at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Ballroom will be projected live in high definition on a giant 12-metre wide LED screen on the resort's Event Plaza. The concert will be pumped out through a high power, high quality Meyer sound system that will be suspended eight metres off the ground, providing an incredible audio visual experience for festival-goers.
