Seen @ Hackett Global Flagship Store Launch Party
By SENATUS Editor | 9 December 2013

Celebrities and VIPs including David Gandy, Jeremy Hackett, Freddie Fox, Juan Mata, Allen Leech were seen at the opening of Hackett's global flagship store on Regent Street in London, its biggest retail space to date. The new store will offer 830 square meters of selling space, spreading over three floors and is occupying the previous Ferrari brand store.

“We’ve grown up — and we are a major player now. We wanted this to be a big statement: it’s younger and cooler than our Sloane Street store,” said founder and chairman of Hackett London, Jeremy Hackett. The flagship store interior is true to the British brands heritage, featuring a vintage looking grand staircase, wooden panelling on the walls, traditional hunting trophies and a English countryside themed floor. The store also has a 'living' plant wall on the ground floor which has grown moss and ivy covering it. Hackett London plans on changing their ground floor interior adornments with the seasons to keep customers on their toes.

The brand also created a special boys section on the main floor of the flagship store, complete with an indoor tree to match the living wall as well as an accessories room and a stand where shoppers can chose to have personal logos or monograms tailored made onto their purchased goods. “We really wanted to emphasize the British-ness of the brand with the limited editions,” stated Hackett, hoping that the personalizing stand will make their collections stand out to customers. There is also a full working bar on the ground floor of the store, that will be offering all types of beverages to thirsty customers.

Hackett London, like many other British brands is currently in an expansion phase and plans to open a new stand in Barcelona and a third store in Paris in the next coming months. The brand is also looking for the right retail space in Lisbon to open a store. However, the UK is still where the brand has its roots and biggest market, with 20 percent of sales being made in its home base. Hackett London currently has 37 independent stores and 44 concessions stands across the world.
