6 June 2017

By Scott Campbell

Gorenje the leading kitchen appliance company from Slovenia is extending its best-selling retro fridge collection with a special edition inspired by the iconic Volkswagen VW Bulli minibus.

The Gorenje Retro Special edition series, with its recognizable two-colour front and a large VW logo, really does look almost exactly like the four-wheeled VW camper van, encapsulating the free spirit of the 50's and 60's as well as the sophisticated technology of today.

The fridge adds instant touch of individual style, freedom and adventure to any kitchen, while keeping food fresh and full of vital nutrients.

Boasting the highest achievable energy-efficiency rating (A+++), the new special edition model has a gross capacity of 260 litres and includes IonAir and DynamiCooling food preservation technology.

Stuart Benson, sales director at Gorenje UK, added, "As the producer of the original retro refrigerator, we could think of no better way to complement our product than with the beloved and iconic VW campervan and are excitedly looking forward to seeing how we can drive sales with this unique addition to our range."

Available in a vintage baby blue or bordeaux red in combination with champagne colour, featuring a VW logo and chrome-coloured decorative elements, the Gorenje Retro Special edition will be a stylish addition to any home, no matter where it's parked.
